Marks and Spencer have proudly launched the new addition to their lingerie range, the J cup bra! The downside is (according to their website anyway) that the J cup is only available in the Truly You GG-J range as an embroidered bra and in the stunning choice of white, black or black and red.This is pretty disappointing and makes you wonder whether M&S have any focus groups or have actually consulted ladies with larger cup sizes when coming up with this idea.

Speaking from personal experience, the main problem in finding bras in plus sizes is the range of choice available for larger ladies. It is all well and good providing sexy underwired embroidered bras, but as most ladies will tell you, there is a time and a place for different underwear. The sexy underwired bra brilliant for making you feel good and giving the other half a treat is absolutely no use in the gym for example. Neither is it suitable for wearing under a t-shirt as the embroidery shows through the fabric!

A lady’s bra size does not change according to the different situations they are in- so why launch a larger bra size in such a limited range? Where are the t-shirt bras, sports bras and non-wired bras? Hopefully, this small selection is just a taster of what is to come from the M&S lingerie range.
